Flag making workshop
Studio Assistant: Christie Carlson
Camp CARPA — a project of the Craft Advanced Research Projects Agency (CARPA) — was an experimental craft gathering at Joshua Tree that brought together 17 artists and artist collectives to explore the development of new craft technologies and the the strategic advancement of craft. CARPA was held in the vicinity of DARPA, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency of the US military.

I created and designed an official CARPA flag, and invited participants to collaboratively sew the flag at Camp CARPA.

With thanks to participants Lauren Becker, Sarah Cluggage, Frau Fiber, Anna Gray and Ryan Paulsen, Betsy Greer, Sarah Jones, Christy Matson, Marci Rae McDade, Rob Mertens, Corkey Sinks, Otto von Busch, and Jon Winet
